Senior Platform Engineer

Are you a hands‑on engineer who loves Linux, scripting and making complex environments run smoothly? Do you enjoy solving problems in cloud and Kubernetes rather than building yet another web app?

We are looking for a senior engineer to help run and improve the configuration and development platform for airline customers. If you like Python, Bash, Docker and Git – and want to work in a highly experienced team on a high‑priority project – this role is for you.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the configuration environment used to build, test and deploy customer‑specific product setups.

  • Work hands‑on with Linux and Bash scripting to automate, troubleshoot and stabilize the platform.

  • Operate and support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, including basic orchestration tasks.
  • Manage and migrate code and pipelines between GitLab and GitHub, ensuring smooth CI/CD workflows.

  • Use Python for scripting and tooling.
  • Collaborate closely with a senior engineering team and internal stakeholders to keep the environment reliable and efficient.

Ideal candidate profile

  • Strong practical experience with Linux (system usage and troubleshooting) and Bash scripting.

  • Good working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.

  • Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes; comfortable using and configuring existing setups.

  • Solid understanding of Git workflows; experience with GitHub and ideally GitLab.

  • Some exposure to cloud environments (AWS or similar) and awareness of how different components fit together.

  • Preferably, familiarity with Helm charts and orchestration concepts in Kubernetes.

  • Comfortable in a senior, highly technical environment; pragmatic, with a problem‑solving mindset.

Conditions

  • Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

  • Work Model: Hybrid – approximately 2 days per week in the office in central Gothenburg

  • Employment Type: Permanent employment with our client

  • Competitive salary and additional benefits, such as: medical insurance, employer‑paid life and long‑term disability insurance, pension plan, health and wellness allowance, 30 paid vacation days plus extra days off at Christmas.
