Frontend Software Engineer – React / TypeScript

Join an international engineering team developing software for the aviation industry. The team works on advanced systems and electronic solutions supporting aircraft, including navigation, flight controls, and information systems.

As a Frontend Software Engineer, you’ll work in a hybrid model in Gdańsk, collaborating with experienced engineers, product owners, UX designers, backend developers, and QA. You’ll develop modern frontend applications using JavaScript and TypeScript, taking ownership of features from implementation and testing through to delivery. You’ll also take part in code reviews, technical discussions, and improving development processes.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks
• Own frontend features end-to-end, from implementation and testing to delivery
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests
• Participate in code reviews and share best practices with other engineers
• Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, backend engineers, and QA to deliver high-quality user experiences
• Work with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and standard branching and merge request workflows
• Work in Docker-based development environments and collaborate with DevOps/OS teams
• Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, technical discussions, and continuous improvement

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or a related technical field
• 3+ years of professional experience in frontend development
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend development
• Experience with at least two JavaScript frameworks or libraries, with React being preferred
• Experience with a component library such as MUI (Material UI)
• Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with frontend unit and integration testing, using tools such as Jest, Vitest, Testing Library, or Cypress
• Experience with Git and code review workflows
• Experience with React ecosystem technologies such as Next.js, React Query, Redux/RTK, Context, or Hooks is a plus
• Experience with Docker and containerized development environments
• Knowledge of modern build tools such as Vite or Webpack and frontend performance optimization
• Understanding of CI/CD and test automation
• Knowledge of web application security practices, including XSS mitigation, CSP, and secure cookie handling
• Experience mentoring other engineers or participating in technical design discussions
• Fluent English with strong communication skills
