We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer for our client from the medical and life sciences industry. In this role, you will work on a desktop application running on a laboratory instrument and be responsible for developing and maintaining automated tests, ensuring software quality, and supporting CI/CD processes.
Senior Test Automation Engineer (Java)
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain automated tests for a desktop application running on a laboratory instrument.
- Analyse requirements and specifications to identify appropriate test strategies and test cases.
- Execute automated and, when needed, manual tests, and report defects with clear information.
- Monitor and improve test coverage, reliability and execution time of the test suites.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines by integrating and optimising automated tests.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, tools and processes in an Agile/Scrum team.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners and other QA engineers to ensure high software quality.
Ideal candidate profile
- Strong proficiency in Java, backed by senior‑level experience in test automation.
- Experience with UI test automation tools or frameworks.
- Experience working with build tools such as Gradle and/or Maven.
- Knowledge of API testing.
- Very good knowledge of English.
- Willingness to occasionally work from the office in Wrocław (a few times per month).
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with task and test management tools such as Jira, Xray, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps or similar.

- Salary: 130–150 PLN/h (net, B2B)
